Claire

Boarding Attendant

Hometown: Terre Haute, IN
Pets: BamBam, May, Zena, Buddy, and Luci

Hello! My name is Claire and I am one of the boarding attendants here at BVH! I have been around a variety of animals my whole life. Growing up my family had kind of a mini farm and we had a couple horses, a mule, pony, goats, rabbits, chickens, and inside pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, & rats). I was an active 10 year member in our local 4-H. I have 4 sisters, 2 older and 2 younger than me. We were all home schooled by our wonderful mother that has a degree in teaching and taught in a near by county before having my sisters and I. I’ve worked in the rescue/boarding field for about 5 years now. I’m proud to be a part of the BVH family and I’m excited to learn more about the Vet side of pets! My hobbies outside of BVH include taking my pups on walks and spending time with my nieces and nephews!

Danielle

Registered Veterinary Technician

Education: Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology
Hometown: Terre Haute, IN
Pets: Sir Flash McBaron (Boxer) Rollo (Pit bull mix)

I am one of the Registered Veterinary Technicians here at Brown Veterinary Hospital. I was pre-veterinary at Indiana State University for 3 years before making the decision to change degrees and enroll at Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in Denver, CO. After graduating in 2008, I completed an internship at the Indianapolis Zoo Veterinary Hospital. My husband, Travis, moved with me to Colorado to pursue my dream of veterinary medicine; he is a wonderful husband and father. Our 2 beautiful children, Reagan and Avery, keep us on our toes on a daily basis. Rollo, a rescue Pit bull mix, joined the family in 2015; he is such a sweet handsome goofball and became best friends with the kids. Flash is our lovable Boxer who loves playing tag with the kids. He has the best butt wiggles.

When I’m not at the hospital, I enjoy being a mother and walking trails. I grew up with all kinds of animals and going into veterinary medicine was a goal I set for myself. I enjoy our clients and the stories they share with us about their pets. I love the constant advances happening in veterinary medicine; these advances allow me to not only keep patient care a number one priority, but also make me excel as an RVT!

Sydney

Boarding Attendant

Hometown: North Terre Haute
Education: ISU – BA in Business Marketing Pets – Winnie, Oliver

I’ve worked with animals over 6 years, whether it is medically or even with rescues. If my actual job at the time isn’t taking care of animals, I’m still pet sitting for others in the community. I have fostered many animals, several of which ended up as foster fails that found their way permanently into my home and heart. Seniors animals are my all-time favorites. No matter where my feet lead me, I always end up back working with animals. They are my true passion.
